WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Super bright back-end web developers.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience working on a complex web application.
WHAT YOU'D BE WORKING ON
It's a startup, so you'll be involved in the specification, design and implementation of new features in the product. You'll also have end-to-end responsibility for key parts of the product. Some of the things you'll be working on:
- Architect, code and scale new features like social network friendly search and APIs to integrate with other web apps (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Lead the design and implementation of our mobile app.
- Interesting scalability and performance challenges: caching service and database optimization to improve page load times.
- Tightly integrate Manymoon with other web apps (e.g., additional Google APIs).
- Build and track analytics to determine which features we build.
- Explore and propose new technologies that we can use.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE WITH
As a startup, we need someone who can work collaboratively with the team here in San Francisco but can take responsibility for an entire feature. You should be comfortable with:
- Working at a fast-growing start-up - it's like being in school again, but without the exams! That means working the hours you want and taking extreme pleasure in having people use your code seconds after deploying it.
- Application development using Java, Grails, Hibernate, Spring, Linux and MySQL.
- Rapid iterative based development.
- Web based APIs - you should know how to quickly build a feature that works with existing APIs (e.g., OAuth, one or more of the Google APIs, etc).
- Source control systems (e.g., Subversion).
- Metrics - you should understand what words like 'conversions' and 'engagement' really mean.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher. Ideally it will be in Computer Science or a related field. But you definitely need to be comfortable with things like HTML, CSS and some scripting languages!
- Someone who's ready for a startup!
- Strong expertise with web apps used by professionals (e.g., Google Apps).
- You should be the person friends and family call on to fix any computer issues.
WHAT YOU'D BE WORKING ON
We're signing up over 1000 new businesses a week and need someone to manage each customer relationship.
Specifically, you'll be responsible for all customer support and quality assurance testing. That includes:
- Responding to customer questions like: "How do I ...", "What does this do ...", "When will you have this feature ...".
- Owning any customer-facing issues, working closely with Engineering on the fix and communicating the resolution to customers.
- Building back-end system to receive and manage customer requests. We're a metrics based organization and need to measure how customer questions translate to customer happiness and revenue!
- Working with product management to collect, analyze and prioritize new feature requirements from customers.
- Test new deploys of the app across different web browsers. You should have the ability to setup automated test scripts to make your own life easier.
